Resolution No. R-04-08
A RESOLUTION TO REPLACE SECTION 18-104 OF THE DECHERD MUNICIPAL CODE, WATER AND SEWER RATES TO BE ESTABLISHED BY THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND ALDERMEN FOR THE CITY OF DECHERD.
WHEREAS, the City Board has been given this authority through Ordinance No. 276 to establish these rates NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF MAYOR AND ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF DECHERD, TENNESSEE.
The following rates will be changed for water and sewer customers:

STANDARD WATER CONNECTION CHARGES
$500.00 good faith deposit per tap required.
3/4" Water Connection............................................Material, Equipment, and Labor plus 10%
1" Water Connection............................................Material, Equipment, and Labor plus 10%
2" Water Connection............................................Material, Equipment, and Labor plus 10%

SPRINKLER SYSTEMS
$50.00 per year per establishment plus 10 cents per sprinkler head

STANDARD SEWER CONNECTION CHARGES
$500.00 good faith deposit per tap required.
4" Sewer Connection......................................Material, Equipment, and Labor plus 10%
6" Sewer Connection......................................Material, Equipment, and Labor plus 10%

WATER RATES
(Inside City Limits)
The Minimum 1500 gallons used $8.79
All over 1500 gallons $4.15 per 1000 gallons
WATER RATES (OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS)-- 79% ADDED TO Inside rates
SEWER RATES (INSIDE CITY LIMITS) $4.92 per 1,000 gallons of water used
SEWER RATES (OUTSIDE CITY LIMITS) - 61% Added to inside sewer rate

WATER METER DEPOSITS
1. A $50.00 water meter deposit will be required for customers that own their property and paid prior to the water being turned on.
2. A $200.00 water meter deposit will be required for customers that rent/lease property and
paid prior to the water being turned on.
3. Delinquent water/sewer bills will be adjusted or paid to the satisfaction of the board of water works and sewage commissioners prior to any customers having water turned on.

RECONNECT FEES
Inside the City $50.00 each time water is reconnected
Outside the City $75.00 each time water is reconnected
After hours service fee $50.00 per incidence
