Mayor Betty Don Henshaw is serving in her third term as Mayor of Decherd . Mrs. Henshaw was first elected to the mayoral position in 1999, assuming office in July of that year. She was re-elected for a second term in 2003 She was re-elected for a third term in 2007. Her current term of office runs through August, 2011. Mrs. Henshaw is a licensed pharmacist and is the owner of Bennetts Pharmacy in nearby Winchester, Tennessee. She, along with her mother (Sarah Louise Bennett) and daughter (Lisa Wallace) manage the long time family business. She is married to Andy Henshaw, a former County Executive (Mayor) of Franklin County Tennessee |

| Johnny Etheridge, Alderman |

| Alderman Johnnie Etheridge, who was also the Vice-Mayor is in his first term of office. Mr. Etheridge was elected to serve a four year term as alderman in August 2005 and took office in September of 2005. His current term as alderman will expire at the end of August, 2009; while the vice-mayor post will expire in September 2007. Mr. Etheridge, who grew up and attended public school in Nashville, is a retired CSX railroad employee. Prior to his election as an alderman, he served on and chaired the Decherd Planning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals. |

| Jack Powers, Alderman |

| Alderman Jack Powers is in his third term of office. Mr. Powers was elected to his first term of office in 1997. He was re-elected to serve an additional term in 2001 and again in 2005. He has also served as vice-mayor in previous stints. His current term runs through August, 2009. Mr. Powers is a graduate of Franklin County High School. He is a long standing supervisor in the textile and apparel industry, having served in that capacity with Decherd Franklin Industries as well as R&W Apparel (where he still works on a limited basis). He has been a lifelong supporter of youth activities including serving numerous years as president of the Decherd Little League Baseball program. |

| Alderman Scott Moore is in his second term as Alderman for the City. He served one previous term and set out one term before running and being re-elected. He has been a citizen since moving here in 1988 from Winchester. He has been a resident of Franklin County all his life. He graduated from Franklin County High School in 1984. He previously owned and operated M & M Market in the Downtown Area. He is now employed as a contract bus driver with the Franklin County Board of Education. He has one son, who is 13 at present and attends North Middle School. His present term ends in 2011. |
