Mayor Betty Don Henshaw is serving in her third term as Mayor of Decherd . Mrs. Henshaw was first elected to the mayoral position in 1999, assuming office in July of that year. She was re-elected for a second term in 2003 She was re-elected for a third term in 2007. Her current term of office runs through August, 2011. Mrs. Henshaw is a licensed pharmacist and is the owner of Bennetts Pharmacy in nearby Winchester, Tennessee. She, along with her mother (Sarah Louise Bennett) and daughter (Lisa Wallace) manage the long time family business. She is married to Andy Henshaw, a former County Executive (Mayor) of Franklin County Tennessee |

| Scott Moore, Alderman |
|
| Alderman Scott Moore is in his second term as Alderman for the City. He served one previous term and set out one term before running and being re-elected. He has been a citizen since moving here in 1988 from Winchester. He has been a resident of Franklin County all his life. He graduated from Franklin County High School in 1984. He previously owned and operated M & M Market in the Downtown Area. He is now employed as a contract bus driver with the Franklin County Board of Education. He has one son, who is 13 at present and attends North Middle School. His present term ends in 2011.
