· Rutherford County Special Operations Response Team
      September 11th 2006-Current
            The Special Operations Response Team provides services for Rutherford County and Mutual Aid for neighboring counties. SORT has three main divisions 1. Hazmat, Rope and Water Rescue. As a team member of SORT I have assisted with Microsoft Databases, Microsoft Word (Standard Operating Guidelines) Master Document and Training Courses.

PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS

· Franklin County Rescue Squad, Winchester, TN  May 1997-Present (Volunteer)
The Rescue Squad provides services concentrating in the areas of underwater evidence search and recovery, swiftwater, and high angle rescue.
The most recent acquisition of water equipment is the Marine Sonic Technology 600kHz side scan sonar and the Seabotix LBV150S2. Chief Smith has also purchased four new Ocean Technology Interspiro with the Ambient Breathing Valve-1. We have the option of using hardline or wireless communications.
Personal equipment includes a surface drysuit, diving drysuit, and vertical/cave. Parker Lowndes provided training for diving with drysuits.
